Mobile workstation for hybrid professionals

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 6 is a 14" convertible built around an 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1185G7 vPro processor with 32GB of memory and a 4TB PCIe NVMe SSD. Integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics drive a 3840 x 2400 IPS touchscreen that supports the included stylus pen. Windows 11 Pro, a fingerprint reader and a secure chip complete the feature set for managed fleets and mobile creators.

Sustained performance with 57Wh battery

The 57Wh four-cell polymer battery powers the 500-nit HDR 400 display, WWAN modem and Wi-Fi 6E AX211 radio under continuous workloads. Thermal management balances the vPro CPU and integrated graphics during long render or compile sessions without mechanical docking support. 4G LTE connectivity via a Nano-SIM slot keeps data flowing when Wi-Fi is unavailable.

Simple deployment, fixed memory

The soldered 32GB memory reaches the platform maximum, so upgrades are not possible. Storage uses a single M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 NVMe drive that can be swapped after removing the bottom cover. Thunderbolt and USB-C ports handle all docking and peripheral needs, while the absent RJ45 port means wired Ethernet requires a dongle.

Questions about this item

How loud or hot does the 14" WQUXGA touchscreen model get when running all day?

The 57 Wh battery and integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics help keep heat and fan noise moderate during typical office workloads on the 500-nit IPS panel.

What must I already own to use the built-in 4G LTE WWAN module?

An active Nano-SIM card and a compatible mobile data plan are required for the WWAN module to connect.

Can I drive the 3840 x 2400 display through a Thunderbolt dock I already own?

The laptop supports Thunderbolt over USB-C, so a Thunderbolt 3 or 4 dock can drive the WQUXGA panel at its native resolution.
