The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a compact 12.5-inch laptop with a touch display and included pen for direct input. It ships new with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and 16GB of DDR3 memory. The Intel Core i7-2640M processor reaches 3.50 GHz turbo frequency for responsive office performance.

Suits mobile professionals needing touch input

This machine suits users who want a lightweight business laptop with a touchscreen and pen for annotating documents on the move. Buyers who need a higher-resolution panel, a dedicated graphics processor, or a newer operating system should look elsewhere. The shared video memory and HD resolution limit advanced visual work.

16GB DDR3 memory configuration

The system provides 16GB of DDR3 RAM paired with a 128GB solid-state drive. This memory amount supports typical multitasking and the SSD keeps boot and application load times short. Verify that your workflow fits within the 128GB capacity before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 128GB SSD or look for a larger drive?

The 128GB SSD holds the operating system and core business apps with room for active project files; large media libraries will need external storage.

How does the 3.5 GHz turbo speed behave in daily office work?

The Core i7-2640M reaches 3.5 GHz on short bursts, keeping web conferencing, document editing and multi-tab browsing responsive under load.

What does the USB 3 label mean for real-world peripheral speed?

USB 3 ports support SuperSpeed transfers with compatible drives and docks, while older devices fall back to USB 2.0 rates.
