ThinkPad X220 i7 business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a 12.5-inch business laptop with a touchscreen and Windows 10 Pro. It runs an Intel Core i7-2640M processor with a turbo frequency of 3.5 GHz. The system includes 16GB DDR3 memory and a 2TB solid-state drive. A 1366x768 HD display, VGA and DisplayPort outputs, gigabit LAN and 802.11b/g/n wireless complete the specification.

Installation notes for the X220

The laptop arrives fully assembled with Windows 10 Pro 64-bit pre-installed and ready to use. Memory and storage are already configured at 16GB and 2TB, so no internal upgrades are required for typical deployment. The docking connector supports shared work areas with other ThinkPad T, L and W series units. Driver updates for the touchscreen, VGA and DisplayPort outputs should be applied after the first boot to ensure full functionality.

Suited to mobile professionals.

This unit suits mobile professionals who need a durable, lightweight chassis with a responsive touchscreen and the classic ThinkPad keyboard. The 16GB DDR3 and 2TB SSD handle multitasking and large local datasets without bottlenecks. Buyers who want a higher-resolution panel, discrete graphics or a newer processor architecture should look at other models, as the HD display and shared video memory limit visual workloads. The 802.11b/g/n wireless may also restrict throughput in dense Wi-Fi environments.
