Business touch laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a 12.5-inch touch-enabled laptop built for professionals who need a compact device with pen input. It runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit on an Intel Core i7-2640M processor with a 3.50 GHz turbo frequency. The system includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 1TB solid-state drive for storage.

Interface and connectivity limits

Wired networking is provided by a 10/100/1000Mbps LAN port, while wireless uses 802.11b/g/n. Video output relies on one VGA and one DisplayPort connection. Three USB ports handle peripherals, and a single docking connector supports shared work areas with compatible ThinkPad models.

Processor speed ceiling

The Intel Core i7-2640M reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 3.50 GHz, which defines the performance ceiling for single-threaded workloads on this unit. Buyers who need higher clock speeds or more cores for intensive rendering or compilation should consider other options.
