Compact business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a 12.5-inch touchscreen laptop built for mobile professionals who need a durable, dockable machine with a traditional keyboard layout. It ships with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and includes a pen for direct screen input.

1TB hard drive and 4GB DDR3 RAM

The 1TB hard drive provides generous space for local files and applications, while the 4GB of DDR3 memory handles typical office workloads and web browsing. Multitasking with many browser tabs or large documents will reach the memory limit, and the mechanical drive is slower than solid-state alternatives.

Core i7-2640M up to 3.50 GHz

The dual-core Intel Core i7-2640M processor reaches a turbo frequency of 3.50 GHz, delivering responsive performance for single-threaded business applications. Buyers who need more cores for rendering, virtualization or heavy compilation should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the 12.5" touch display and VGA port work with my older projector that only has VGA input?

The 1366x768 touch display outputs through the built-in VGA port so you can connect directly to a VGA projector without an adapter.

How can I verify the Core i7-2640M is reaching its 3.50 GHz turbo frequency under load?

Open Task Manager in Windows 7 Professional, watch the CPU frequency graph while running a heavy task and confirm it climbs to 3.5 GHz.

Does the box include the ThinkPad pen for the touch screen or do I need to buy it separately?

The supplier title lists a pen tablet computer, indicating the digitizer pen is included in the box with the X220 laptop.
