ThinkPad X220 i7-2640M business laptop

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 is a 12.5-inch business laptop with a touchscreen display and an Intel Core i7-2640M processor reaching 3.50 GHz. It ships with 4GB of DDR3 memory and a 320GB hard drive running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. The HD panel offers a 1366x768 resolution with shared video memory for everyday office tasks.

Compatibility checklist before purchase

Verify that your workflow accepts Windows 7 Professional, an operating system no longer receiving security updates. Confirm that 4GB of soldered DDR3 memory meets application requirements, as the single slot limits expansion. Ensure the 320GB mechanical drive provides sufficient capacity and speed compared to solid-state alternatives. Check that VGA and DisplayPort outputs match your external monitor connections.

Suits mobile professionals needing a classic

Ideal for users who value the ThinkPad keyboard, TrackPoint, and a responsive touch display in a compact 12.5-inch chassis. The docking connector supports shared workstations with compatible ThinkPad series. Not suited for buyers who require modern OS security, solid-state storage speed, more than 4GB of RAM, or higher-resolution screens for detailed visual work.
