Compact business laptop for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 combines a 12.5-inch HD touch display with an Intel Core i7-2640M processor reaching 3.50 GHz. It ships with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 160GB solid-state drive. The system is built for professionals who need a durable, portable device with pen input support.

Fits into a docked or standalone workflow

A single docking connector allows shared workspaces with compatible ThinkPad series laptops. Three USB ports, VGA and DisplayPort outputs handle peripherals and external monitors without extra adapters. Gigabit LAN and 802.11b/g/n wireless provide network flexibility. The SSD removes mechanical drive noise and frees internal space usually occupied by a hard drive.

Sustained load behaviour with Active Protection

The Active Protection System parks drive heads during sudden movement to protect data integrity. Keyboard noise suppression and dual microphone modes maintain clear audio during extended VoIP sessions. Shared system memory handles graphics workloads without a discrete GPU. The redesigned hinge with magnetic latching keeps the display stable during continuous typing.
