ThinkPad X220 Tablet with Core i7-2640M

The Lenovo ThinkPad X220 Tablet is a 12.5-inch convertible laptop powered by an Intel Core i7-2640M processor reaching 3.50 GHz turbo frequency. It includes 8GB of DDR3 memory and a 160GB solid-state drive. The HD touch display supports pen input and runs Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. It suits mobile professionals needing a durable, pen-enabled business machine.

Check ports, OS support and memory limits

Verify that your peripherals connect via the three USB ports, VGA or DisplayPort outputs and the single docking connector. The wired LAN runs at 10/100/1000Mbps and wireless uses 802.11b/g/n. Windows 7 Professional is pre-installed; ensure your software environment supports this operating system. The 8GB DDR3 configuration is fixed, so confirm this capacity meets your workload requirements before ordering.

Sustained load on a compact convertible

The dual-core i7-2640M maintains up to 3.5 GHz turbo under load within the slim tablet chassis. Shared system memory handles graphics, so extended 3D or video tasks rely on the main 8GB pool. The SSD keeps storage latency low during long sessions. Active Protection System and the redesigned magnetic-latch hinge protect components during continuous mobile use. Thermal behaviour reflects the ultraportable form factor.
