Business ultrabook for mobile professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 is a 12.5" ultrabook built around an Intel Core i7-4600U processor with a 1TB SSD and 8GB of DDR3 memory. It ships with Windows 8.1 Pro and a 1920 x 1080 FHD IPS touch display. The compact form factor targets users who need full laptop performance in a highly portable package for daily business travel and remote work.

MIL-SPEC tested chassis with carbon fibre roll cage

The X240 undergoes eight MIL-SPEC environmental tests covering high pressure, humidity, vibration, temperature extremes, low pressure at 15000 ft and dust. A carbon fibre roll cage with internal reinforcement provides structural rigidity while keeping the unit light. Two USB ports and a single headphone/microphone combo jack handle essential wired peripherals, while Bluetooth 4.0 covers wireless accessories.

Spill-resistant backlit keyboard

The six-row island-style keyboard resists liquid spills and includes backlighting for low-light environments. An integrated fingerprint reader adds biometric sign-in without extra hardware. These features reduce downtime from accidental spills and streamline secure access for mobile workers who frequently log in on the move.
