Business Ultrabook for Mobile Professionals

The Lenovo ThinkPad X240 is a 12.5" business ultrabook built for professionals who need a durable, portable Windows 7 Professional machine. Its carbon-fibre roll cage and MIL-SPEC testing suit frequent travel and field work. The integrated fingerprint reader adds convenient biometric security for corporate environments.

1366 x 768 Touch Display

The 12.5" HD IPS panel runs at 1366 x 768 resolution and supports ten-point touch input. This specification decides whether the screen meets your workflow: it provides touch interaction for presentations or tablet-style use, but the pixel density limits detailed multi-window work or high-resolution media editing.

1TB SSD and 8GB DDR3 RAM

The 1TB solid-state drive offers ample capacity for operating system, applications and large project files with fast boot and load times. The 8GB DDR3 memory handles typical business multitasking such as office suites, browser tabs and video calls; memory-intensive tasks like virtual machines or large datasets will exceed the available headroom.

Questions about this item

What does the Core i7-4600U's 3.3 GHz turbo speed mean for everyday workloads on this X240?

The dual-core processor reaches 3.3 GHz under load, giving snappy response for office apps, web browsing and video calls while the 8 GB DDR3 RAM keeps multiple tabs and documents open smoothly.

Which devices can I connect through the Bluetooth 4.0 and USB ports on this ThinkPad?

Bluetooth 4.0 pairs with mice, keyboards and headsets, while the two USB ports accept flash drives, external storage or a dock for extra monitors and wired peripherals.

How does the 12.5 inch 1366 x 768 touch display affect portability and mounting options?

The compact HD IPS panel keeps the chassis light and MIL-SPEC tested for shock, vibration and temperature extremes, so the ultrabook fits small bags and withstands field use without a separate mount.
