AI-Ready Workstation Tower

The Lenovo ThinkStation P2 Gen 2 Tower is a new desktop workstation built around an Intel Core Ultra 5 225 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics. It ships with 16 GB of DDR5 memory in a dual-channel configuration and a 512 GB SSD running Windows 11 Pro. The system targets professionals who need local AI acceleration and reliable 3D performance in a compact tower form factor.

Sustained Load Behaviour

A 500 W power supply rated at 92 % efficiency delivers stable power to the 10-core CPU with its 4.9 GHz turbo boost and the RTX 5060 GPU during extended rendering or inference sessions. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 maintain low-latency wireless connectivity while the front-panel USB-C port running at 20 Gbps supports fast external storage without throttling the internal PCIe NVMe SSD.

Upgrade Path and Limits

The motherboard supports up to 64 GB of DDR5 RAM and up to 2 TB of PCIe NVMe M.2 storage, so memory and capacity can grow with workload demands. Buyers who need more than two display outputs or a second full-size graphics card should look elsewhere, as the chassis and power budget are designed for a single GPU configuration.

Questions about this item

How much heat and noise does the 500W 92% efficiency power supply produce under sustained AI workloads?

The 500W unit runs at 92% efficiency, so less input power becomes waste heat; the tower's 14.80" x 6.70" x 12.40" chassis provides room for airflow to keep fan speeds lower during long render or inference sessions.

Which display cables must I already own to use the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card?

The card outputs one HDMI 2.1 TMDS and two DisplayPort 1.4 connections; have the matching cables ready for each monitor you plan to attach.

Can the motherboard accept additional DDR5 modules beyond the factory 2 x 8GB configuration?

Four DDR5 slots support up to 64GB total, so two free slots remain for adding matched DDR5 DIMMs later.
