AI-Ready Tower Workstation

The Lenovo ThinkStation P2 Gen 2 Tower is a new desktop computer built for professionals who need local AI processing power. It pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 285 processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card and 32 GB of DDR5 memory. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on a 512 GB SSD.

Suited For AI Development Not For Massive Datasets

This workstation suits developers and engineers running machine-learning inference, 3D rendering or complex simulations that benefit from the CPU's P-cores up to 5.40 GHz and dedicated GPU acceleration. Buyers who need more than 32 GB of RAM or more than 512 GB of primary storage should look at a different configuration. The 500 W power supply also limits future high-wattage graphics upgrades.

Build Integration With Wi-Fi 7 And Front USB-C

The tower measures 14.80" x 6.70" x 12.40" and weighs 12.87 lb, fitting standard desk spaces while providing extensive connectivity. Front ports include USB-C at 20 Gbps, two USB-A at 10 Gbps and two USB-A at 5 Gbps for fast peripheral access. Rear video outputs comprise HDMI 2.1 TMDS and two DisplayPort 1.4 connectors for multi-monitor setups. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 handle wireless networking without extra cards.

Questions about this item

What type and speed of memory must the system board accept for the 32 GB of DDR5 supplied with this ThinkStation P2 Gen 2?

The motherboard must support DDR5 memory; the workstation ships with four 8 GB modules for a total of 32 GB.

Can the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 drive a legacy monitor that only has a VGA input?

The card provides one HDMI 2.1 and two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs; a VGA display would need an active adapter.
