Tower workstation with Core Ultra 5 225

This Lenovo ThinkStation P2 Gen 2 tower workstation ships new with Windows 11 Pro. It pairs an Intel Core Ultra 5 225 processor reaching 4.9 GHz with 10 cores and 10 threads with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card. The system includes 32 GB of DDR5 memory in a 4 x 8 GB layout and 2 TB of NVMe SSD storage across three drives. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 are built in alongside a 500 W 92% efficiency power supply.

Professionals needing certified drivers

The workstation targets engineers, designers and analysts who rely on ISV-certified stability and the AI acceleration of the Core Ultra 5 225 NPU. Buyers who require ECC memory, dual GPU configurations or redundant power supplies should consider alternative platforms because this model provides none of those features.

Storage ceiling fixed at 2 TB

The supplier specification lists a maximum of 2 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD capacity, so the installed 2 TB (2 x 512 GB + 1 TB) already reaches that limit. Any user anticipating larger local datasets must plan for external or network-attached storage instead.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the Intel Core Ultra 5 225 is running at its 4.9 GHz turbo speed after setup?

Open Task Manager's Performance tab and watch the CPU frequency under load; it should reach 4.9 GHz when thermal headroom allows.

What comes in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The tower includes a USB keyboard, USB mouse, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 antennas, and a 500W power supply; a display is not included.

Which memory configuration should I choose for the 32 GB DDR5 capacity?

The system ships with four 8 GB DDR5 modules filling all slots; to reach the 64 GB maximum you would replace them with higher-capacity DDR5 sticks.
