System Purpose

This Lenovo ThinkStation P3 Tower bundle pairs a 20-core Intel Core i7-14700 processor with 32GB of memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The package includes a 34-inch curved UWQHD monitor and a wireless MK650 keyboard and mouse combo. It is built for engineering, architectural design and digital content creation workflows that demand multi-threaded CPU performance and an expansive desktop.

Deciding Specification

The system relies on integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 rather than a discrete graphics card. This makes the workstation suitable for office productivity, 2D design and light 3D visualisation, but it will not meet the needs of buyers who require certified drivers or high frame rates for GPU-intensive rendering, simulation or real-time ray tracing workloads.

Thermals Noise Power

The tower chassis is designed for scalable upgrades and professional-grade thermal management under sustained multi-core loads. The 34-inch ViewFinity monitor operates at a 100 Hz refresh rate with a 5 ms response time. The MK650 combo uses SilentTouch key technology and a contoured mouse to keep acoustic distraction low during long work sessions.

Questions about this item

How does the 20-core i7-14700 perform when all cores are loaded in a real workstation?

The processor runs at 2.1 GHz base with a 5.4 GHz turbo boost, so sustained multi-threaded workloads stay near the base clock while short bursts reach the higher frequency.

What display outputs does the Intel UHD Graphics 770 provide and what resolution can it actually drive?

The graphics include HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and can drive the bundled 3440 x 1440 monitor at its native 100 Hz refresh rate.

Will the tower case fit on a standard desk shelf or does it need floor space?

The tower form factor is designed for floor placement; allow enough depth for rear cable routing and front-panel airflow clearance.
