Business laptop for office work

The Lenovo V15 G5 is a 15.6 inch Windows 11 Pro notebook built around an Intel Core i5 13420H processor with eight cores and a 4.60 GHz turbo frequency. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR5 memory and a 512 GB SSD support everyday multitasking and fast boot times. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles standard business applications and video playback.

Thermals noise and power in normal use

The 15.6 inch FHD anti-glare TN panel runs at 250 nits brightness with 45 percent NTSC colour coverage for indoor viewing. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 provide wireless connectivity while a 720p webcam with privacy shutter supports video calls. The non-backlit keyboard includes a numeric keypad and the chassis weighs 3.64 lbs at 0.78 inches thick.

Sustained load behaviour

Ports include two USB 3.2 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Type-C, HDMI, Ethernet RJ-45, a combo audio jack and a dedicated power connector. The 8-core 12 MB cache processor maintains 3.40 GHz base clocks during extended workloads such as large spreadsheets or background compilation. Integrated graphics share system memory so prolonged 3D tasks are not suited to this machine. Buyers needing discrete GPU performance or higher colour accuracy should consider other configurations.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 512 GB SSD in the 83HF00E8IG, and what step do people miss?

The 512 GB SSD is already fitted. People often open the case expecting an empty M.2 slot and forget the drive is pre-installed.

What part of the 15.6 inch FHD TN panel will need replacement first?

The 250 nits backlight dims over years; the panel itself has no user-replaceable parts.

At what point does the i5-13420H hit its sustained-use limit?

The 8-core CPU throttles when the 45 % NTSC chassis thermal budget is reached, capping turbo below 4.60 GHz.
