Lenovo V15 Gen 2 business laptop

This Lenovo V15 Gen 2 runs Windows 11 Pro on an Intel Celeron N4500 processor with 16GB DDR4 memory and a 2TB PCIe NVMe SSD. The 15.6 inch TN panel shows 1920 x 1080 resolution at 60Hz. Connectivity includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1 and a wired RJ-45 port.

Upgrading from a slower office machine

The 2TB NVMe drive and 16GB DDR4 remove the storage and memory bottlenecks common in entry-level units. The jump is worth it when your current laptop stalls on large spreadsheets or runs out of space for local files. Integrated Intel UHD Graphics limits the system to 2D workloads and video playback.

Check your peripheral needs first

Only one USB 2.0, one USB 3.2 Type-C and one HDMI port are available, so verify that your dock, mouse and external display can share these connections. The 38 WHr battery and 45W adapter suit light mobile use but will not last a full day under load. The TN screen offers standard viewing angles rather than wide-angle colour accuracy.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions I need to check for a sleeve or bag?

The chassis measures 9.3 inches wide, 14.2 inches deep and 1 inch thick.

How do I add more memory, and which slot is used first?

The 16 GB DDR4 SO-DIMM occupies the single user-accessible slot; upgrading means replacing it with a higher-capacity DDR4 module.

When will the internal battery need replacing, and what is its capacity?

The 2-cell 38 Whr battery is rated for typical daily cycles; expect reduced runtime after a few years of regular charging.
