Decora GFCI Switch for residential use
The Leviton 834-5671-2I is a Decora-style ground-fault circuit-interrupter switch rated at 15 amps and 120/277 volts AC. It fits standard residential wiring and provides shock protection on lighting or fan circuits where a combined switch and GFCI device is required.
Replaces standard switches without GFCI
This unit upgrades a basic toggle or Decora switch by adding ground-fault protection in the same wall box. The jump is worth it when local code requires GFCI on bathroom, kitchen, laundry or outdoor lighting circuits and you want a single-gang device instead of a separate receptacle and switch.
Handles 15 A lighting or fan loads
The switch comfortably controls incandescent, LED or motor loads up to its 15 A rating on 120 V or 277 V supplies. It runs out of headroom when the connected load exceeds 15 amps or when a 20 A branch circuit demands a 20 A rated device.
