Lexmark CX735adse colour laser MFP

The Lexmark CX735adse is a 4-in-1 colour laser printer built for mid-to-large workgroups that need print, copy, scan and fax in one device. It delivers up to 52 pages per minute with a first page out as fast as 5.6 seconds for black and 6.1 seconds for colour. A 10.1 inch tablet-like touchscreen provides direct control over every function. The monthly duty cycle reaches 150000 pages.

Duplex printing and single-pass two-sided scanning

Integrated duplex printing produces two-sided output automatically, reducing paper consumption for routine jobs. Single-pass two-sided scanning captures both sides of a document in one pass, while ultrasonic multifeed detection helps prevent misfeeds during high-volume batches. Connectivity includes USB 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet for wired network integration. Print resolution reaches 1200 x 1200 dpi with 2400 x 600 dpi enhanced quality and 4800 CQ for colour.

Intelligent Storage Drive and security features

An Intelligent Storage Drive enables faster startup, quicker data retrieval and enhanced reliability for continuous operation. Advanced security features protect sensitive information throughout the print, scan and fax workflow. The 25 cm touchscreen simplifies job management and settings access for multiple users. Bundled capabilities support efficient document handling without additional software installation.

Questions about this item

What does the USB 2.0 port cap the direct-connection throughput at?

The USB 2.0 interface limits direct host transfers to 480 Mbit/s, so large scan jobs or firmware updates run at that ceiling rather than at Gigabit Ethernet speeds.

What clearance does the 10.1-inch touchscreen add to the front of the unit?

The 10.1-inch (25 cm) tablet-like panel extends the front profile, so allow at least that depth plus hand room when positioning the printer on a shelf or counter.

How is the initial network setup done on the 10.1-inch touchscreen, and what step is often missed?

Use the tablet-like 10.1-inch screen to join the network, then confirm the IP address on the printed network setup page — skipping the print-out leaves you without a verified address for driver installation.
