The Lexmark MS312dn is a desktop monochrome laser printer built for small workgroups that need fast, two-sided output. It prints up to 35 pages per minute simplex and 16 sides per minute duplex with a first page out in 6.5 seconds. A 2-line APA LCD display provides direct status and menu control.

Installation uses USB 2.0.

Connect the printer via USB 2.0, 10/100BaseTX Ethernet (compatible with 1000 Base-T networks) or the legacy parallel port. The standard configuration includes a 250-sheet tray and a 50-sheet multipurpose feeder for 300 sheets total. An optional third tray can raise capacity. Driver support covers PCL 5e, PCL 6, PPDS, PostScript 3, XPS and AirPrint. Missing the optional tray limits input to the standard 300 sheets.

50 000-page monthly duty cycle

The manufacturer rates the engine for a maximum monthly duty cycle of 50 000 pages with a recommended volume of 500 to 2 500 pages. Exceeding the recommended range consistently can accelerate wear on the imaging unit and toner components.
