Monochrome Laser Printer 35 ppm

The Lexmark MS312dn is a monochrome laser printer built for offices that need fast black-and-white output. It prints up to 35 pages per minute and includes new toner and drum cartridges. A 300-sheet input tray reduces reload frequency during long runs. Duplex printing comes as standard.

Ethernet and USB 2.0 connectivity limits

Network printing runs over a single RJ-45 Ethernet port with no wireless option. The USB 2.0 port supports direct local connection but caps transfer speed at the interface maximum. Both interfaces require a wired link to the host or switch. Mobile or cloud printing needs a separate server or app.

Compact build with front-loading paper tray

The chassis fits on a desktop or shelf and uses a front-loading 300-sheet cassette for easy refill. Output lands in a top-facing bin that holds the printed stack in order. All consumables are accessed from the front, so the unit can sit flush against a wall. No tool-less internal bays or modular rails are present.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the MS312dn with its 300-sheet tray or look for a model with a larger paper capacity?

The 300-sheet input tray handles typical small-office volumes; if daily print runs regularly exceed that, a model with additional drawers reduces refill frequency.

What does the 35 ppm rating mean for everyday document printing?

35 pages per minute is the engine speed for simple A4 pages; complex graphics, duplex mode or small jobs will lower the real-world throughput.

How do the USB 2.0 and Ethernet ports affect network sharing?

USB 2.0 connects a single PC directly; the RJ-45 Ethernet port lets the printer join a wired LAN for shared printing without USB distance limits.
