49" commercial UHD display

The LG 49UH5Q-E is a 49-inch commercial display built for continuous digital signage use. Its IPS-type LCD panel delivers 3840 x 2160 resolution with 1.07 billion colours and a 178° viewing angle in both directions. The screen operates at 500 nits brightness with a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and an 8 ms response time, making it suitable for 24/7 operation in retail and corporate environments.

500 nits brightness for signage

The 500 nit peak brightness is the key specification that determines suitability for brightly lit commercial spaces. It supports 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz over three HDMI inputs with HDCP 2.2/1.4 and one DisplayPort with HDCP 2.2/1.4. Additional connectivity includes RS-232C, RJ45 LAN, IR, two USB 2.0 Type A ports and an audio output, enabling flexible content delivery and control.

VESA 300 x 300 mounting

Installation uses the standard VESA 300 x 300 mm pattern and supports both landscape and portrait orientation. The slim bezel design allows near-wall mounting with a 13.5 mm gap when using the slim bracket, and hidden power inlets simplify cable routing. Conformal coating on the power board protects against dust, humidity, salt and iron powder, reducing failure risk in demanding indoor locations.

Questions about this item

How does 500 nits look on this 49-inch panel in a bright shop?

At 500 nits the 49-inch IPS panel stays clearly readable under strong indoor lighting, and the 178-degree viewing angle keeps colours consistent from the side.

What does HDMI 2.2 HDCP actually limit on the three ports?

Each HDMI input accepts 3840x2160 at 60 Hz with HDCP 2.2 or 1.4, so protected 4K streams play at full resolution and frame rate.

Will a standard 300 mm VESA arm hold this display flush to the wall?

The 300 x 300 mm VESA pattern matches common mounts, and the hidden power inlet leaves only 13.5 mm clearance with the slim bracket.
