86" Stretched Display for Digital Signage

The LG Electronics 86BH5F-M is an 86-inch digital signage display with a native resolution of 3840 x 600 and a brightness of 500 cd/m2. Its ultra-wide aspect ratio suits stretched content layouts such as menu boards, transit schedules or ribbon-style advertising. The black cabinet integrates into professional environments.

Suits installers building ultra-wide signage.

This display suits integrators who need a wide, low-height canvas for custom content zones. It does not suit buyers who need a conventional layout or higher vertical pixel count for standard video playback. The 500 cd/m2 brightness supports indoor ambient light but is not rated for direct sunlight.

3840 x 600 native resolution defines the content

The single specification that decides fit is the 3840 x 600 native resolution. Content must be authored or scaled to this exact pixel grid to avoid distortion or letterboxing. Verify that your media player and CMS support this resolution before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 86" panel using the three HDMI ports and one DisplayPort input?

Connect source devices to the three HDMI ports or the single DisplayPort 1 In; the common mistake is leaving the DisplayPort cable unsecured, which can cause signal loss on the 3840 x 600 panel.

What maintenance will the 500 cd/m² backlight require over time?

The 500 cd/m² backlight will gradually dim; plan for professional backlight module replacement when brightness no longer meets viewing requirements.

At what point does sustained 500 cd/m² output hit a thermal limit on the 86" cabinet?

Extended full-brightness operation raises internal temperature until the built-in thermal protection reduces output to protect the 86" panel.
