Purpose and Audience

The LG LRWL004 wireless HDMI extender sends 1080p video up to 100 feet from a laptop, PC, TV box or camera to a monitor, projector or HDTV. It is built for meeting rooms, classrooms or home theatres where running a long cable is impractical. Smartphone and tablet users cannot connect to this model.

Thermals Noise and Power

Both the transmitter and receiver draw power from the supplied USB cables, which can plug into a computer, monitor, charger or power bank. The units warm up during operation, which the maker states is normal and safe thanks to a multi-layer cooling design. No fan noise is produced.

Build Integration

Each set ships pre-paired for true plug-and-play use; no drivers, apps, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth setup is required. An HDMI extender cable helps fit the receiver behind wall-mounted displays, while a mini HDMI adapter adds connection flexibility. Components from different sets cannot be mixed because cross-pairing is not supported.

Questions about this item

How do I install the LRWL004 transmitter and receiver, and what step is often missed?

Connect each unit to its USB power cable first, then plug into HDMI ports; the devices pair automatically within 10 seconds, but skipping the power connection stops it from working

What maintenance or replacement will the LRWL004 need over time?

No routine maintenance is required; keep the USB power cables and HDMI extender cable intact, and avoid mixing components from different sets since cross-pairing is not supported

What limit appears first when streaming continuously with the LRWL004?

The 100 ft range ceiling is reached first; obstacles and interference reduce the reliable distance before any thermal protection activates
