77-inch OLED TV for premium viewing

The LG OLED77B6GUA is a 77-inch OLED 4K smart television built for 2026. It uses over 8.3 million self-lit pixels to produce perfect blacks and vivid colours across movies, sports, streaming and gaming. The 8 AI Processor 4K Gen3 applies AI Picture Pro and Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro in real time for sharp, lifelike detail.

Gamers and home-cinema buyers; not for basic use

This set suits gamers who want a 120Hz native refresh rate, VRR up to 120Hz, G-SYNC and FreeSync compatibility, ALLM and a 0.1ms response time with 4K 120Hz Dolby Vision gaming. It also fits viewers who want Dolby Atmos and 8 AI Sound Pro for immersive virtual surround sound. Buyers needing only a simple secondary screen or a smaller panel should look elsewhere.

Wall or stand mounting with webOS 26 setup

Installation follows standard large-OLED practice: two-person lift onto the included stand or a VESA wall mount rated for the screen size. The webOS 26 platform starts up with an on-screen wizard for network, AI Agent, Google Home, Apple AirPlay, Multi View, Copilot and LG Channels. The most common issue is forgetting to enable HDMI 2.1 features in the settings menu for full 120Hz gaming performance.

Questions about this item

What HDMI specification must my source device support to use the 120Hz refresh rate and VRR features?

The TV requires an HDMI 2.1 source to enable its 120Hz native refresh rate, VRR up to 120Hz, and 4K 120Hz Dolby Vision gaming capabilities.

Will my existing HDMI 2.0 soundbar or AV receiver pass through the 4K 120Hz signal from a console to this TV?

An HDMI 2.0 device cannot pass the 4K 120Hz signal; connect the console directly to the TV and use eARC to send audio back to the soundbar or receiver.

How can I verify the TV is actually running at 120Hz with VRR active during gameplay?

Enable the on-screen Game Optimizer dashboard; it displays the current refresh rate and confirms when VRR, G-SYNC, or FreeSync is engaged.
