Lift-all 12EEX8 Wire Rope Sling 8 ft

This Lift-all wire rope sling is built for vertical lifting tasks that require a rated capacity of 5000 lb. The 8 ft length and 1/2 in diameter steel rope with IWRC core suit industrial rigging and yard work where a single-leg sling is specified.

Suited for straight vertical hitches only

Riggers who need a choker hitch rated at 3800 lb or a basket hitch rated at 10200 lb can use this sling within those limits. It is not for angled lifts at 30, 45 or 60 degrees because no capacity is rated for those angles. Buyers who require multi-leg assemblies or angled lift ratings should look at a different configuration.

Vertical hitch capacity 5000 lb

The single specification that decides fit is the 5000 lb vertical hitch capacity. If the load exceeds this figure the sling is not the right part. All other hitch capacities derive from this base rating.

Questions about this item

What vertical hitch capacity does the 1/2 in steel wire rope sling provide?

The vertical hitch capacity is 5,000 lb for this 8 ft sling with 1/2 in steel rope and IWRC core.

What eye length and rope diameter are required for the sling to fit the lifting hardware?

The sling has an 8 in eye length and a 1/2 in rope diameter, so hardware must accommodate both dimensions.

How is the sling installed and which capacity rating is commonly misapplied?

Attach the 8 in eyes to the hook or shackle; the choker hitch capacity is 3,800 lb, not the 5,000 lb vertical rating.
