What this cable does

This adapter lets you power a Dell laptop that uses the 4.5x3.0mm barrel jack from any USB-C Power Delivery charger. It is built for Dell models rated at 90W or below, including Inspiron 3000, 5000 and 7000 series units such as the 3147 and 3148. The nylon-braided cable houses a PD inducing chip and an E-Mark chip to negotiate the correct voltage.

The charger wattage rule

Your USB-C charger must supply at least the wattage your laptop demands; for example a 19.5V 4.6A 90W laptop needs a 90W or higher PD source. If the charger is lower than the laptop input the cable will not deliver power. The adapter itself supports up to 100W input, so it does not limit a capable charger.

No extra accessories included

The package contains only the converter cable; there is no bundled wall charger, no carrying pouch and no software. You must provide a compatible USB-C PD power supply that meets the wattage requirement.
