Purpose & audience

The Listen Technologies LR-4200-072 is a 72 MHz RF receiver designed for assistive listening in presentation venues. It serves attendees who rely on T-coil hearing aids or personal earphones and need clear audio pickup from a single-channel transmitter.

Deciding specification

The unit operates on a fixed 72 MHz carrier and is built for single-channel applications only. It cannot tune multiple frequencies, so it fits installations where one audio source covers the entire room.

Install & common pitfalls

The integrated neck loop doubles as a lanyard and includes a belt clip for discreet wear. Dual 3.5 mm jacks allow two listeners to share one receiver. Micro USB connects to the iDSP software for charging, setup and firmware updates. The OLED display confirms channel, battery and volume status at a glance.
