Compact Infrared Assistive Listening System

The LT-84 ListenIR combo delivers a two-channel transmitter and radiator in one unit for venues that need clear audio distribution without radio-frequency licensing. It suits classrooms, courtrooms and boardrooms where installation must stay simple and the budget is fixed.

Sustained Coverage Across Large Rooms

The system maintains gapless infrared coverage up to 2,787 square metres (30,000 square feet) without signal dropouts, thanks to patented delay compensation. Up to four LA-141 expansion radiators can be added over a single CAT-5e cable run of 30.48 metres (100 feet) each, carrying both power and signal for consistent performance during long sessions.

Upgrade Path From Single-Radiator Kits

Facilities replacing a basic one-channel infrared kit gain a second simultaneous channel and the ability to scale coverage by adding LA-141 radiators without new power outlets. The jump is worthwhile when the room exceeds the old system’s reach or when two language feeds are required.

Questions about this item

How much power does the LT-84 combo draw when running all day?

The unit powers expansion radiators through a single CAT-5e cable carrying both power and signal, so the main device supplies the whole chain without separate outlets.

What cables or sources must I already have to operate the LT-84?

Connect audio via the multiple input options on the transmitter, then run one CAT-5e cable to each LA-141 expansion radiator up to 30.48 metres away.

Will the LT-84 work alongside an older ListenIR system I keep?

It uses the same ListenIR platform and patent 9,712,246, so existing compatible receivers stay usable while the LT-84 adds up to 2,787 square metres coverage with delay-compensated expansion radiators.
