Ultra-lightweight bat grip

The Lizard Skins DSP Ultra bat grip tape is built for baseball and softball players who want a thinner, lighter connection to the handle. Its Durasoft Polymer backing keeps the wrap durable and slip-resistant in any weather condition.

Pre-cut adhesive design

Each roll measures 39 inches and arrives with pre-cut ends plus a full adhesive back for direct application on wood, aluminum or composite bats. A finish strip is included so the wrap stays secure through repeated swings without extra tools.

.5 mm thickness limit

At .5 mm the tape adds minimal bulk, which preserves bat speed but offers less vibration damping than thicker wraps. Players who prefer a cushioned feel or maximum sting reduction on mishits may find this profile too thin.

Questions about this item

How thick is the .5 mm DSP Ultra grip tape?

The tape measures .5 mm thick, using a Durasoft Polymer backing that keeps the wrap thin while still damping vibration.

Will the 39 in length cover my bat handle?

At 39 inches long with pre-cut ends and a full adhesive back, one roll wraps any wood, aluminum or composite bat handle and includes a finish strip.

How do I apply the pre-cut adhesive grip correctly?

Start at the knob, keep tension even while spiraling upward, and secure the supplied finish strip at the top — the step most often missed is forgetting that final strip.
