Ultra-thin bat grip for all bat types

The Lizard Skins DSP Ultra Solid Bat Grip Tape measures .5 mm thick and runs 39 inches long, making it suitable for wood, aluminum and composite bats. A full adhesive backing and pre-cut ends let players wrap the handle quickly without extra tools. The Durasoft Polymer carrier keeps the wrap light while resisting wear through a full season.

Simple wrap with pre-cut ends

Installation starts at the knob and spirals upward using the self-adhesive surface; the pre-cut ends align cleanly so no trimming is required. Most issues arise when the handle is not cleaned first, causing the tape to lift, or when the wrap is stretched unevenly, creating gaps that peel during swings. Applying firm, even pressure as you go prevents both problems.

Check handle length and diameter first

Verify that your bat handle measures no more than 39 inches so the single roll covers the entire grip area without seams. Confirm the handle material is clean, dry and free of old adhesive residue, because the full adhesive back bonds best to a smooth surface. The tape fits standard circumferences on wood, alloy and composite barrels alike.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 0.5 mm DSP Ultra grip is installed correctly on my bat?

The pre-cut ends and full adhesive back should bond smoothly without wrinkles; the textured Durasoft Polymer pattern will feel tacky and vibration noticeably drops on contact.

What comes with the Violet Purple DSP Ultra grip and what must I supply?

The box contains one 39-inch grip with pre-cut ends, full adhesive backing and a Finish Strip; you only need a clean bat handle and a utility knife for trimming.

When should I choose the 0.5 mm Violet Purple version over other DSP Ultra options?

Pick this 0.5 mm thickness when you want maximum bat feedback and a thinner profile, and select Violet Purple to match team colours or personal preference.
