High-Strength Threadlocker for Metal Fasteners

Loctite 277 is a red, anaerobic adhesive designed to permanently lock threaded assemblies on brass, bronze, copper, iron, steel and similar metals. The liquid formula fills gaps up to a maximum thread diameter of 7/8 in and develops a breakaway torque of 280 in-lb once cured. It meets ASTM D-5363 and MIL-S-46163-A specifications for reliable performance in demanding environments.

Suited for Permanent Assemblies Requiring Heat

This product suits mechanics and engineers who need a permanent bond that resists vibration, shock and oil contamination. It is not intended for applications where frequent disassembly with hand tools is required, nor for use on plastic or non-metallic substrates that the anaerobic chemistry does not support. Buyers needing a lower-strength or removable grade should select a different threadlocker series.

10 mL Bottle Handles Multiple Large-Diameter Joints

The 10 mL container provides enough liquid for numerous fasteners up to the stated 7/8 in diameter limit. With a 45-minute working time, there is ample opportunity to position parts before the cure begins. Coverage will run out on very high-volume production runs or on threads significantly larger than the specified maximum, requiring additional bottles.
