Bluetooth Audio Receiver for Powered Speakers

This Logitech adapter adds wireless streaming to any powered speakers or stereo system that accepts a 3.5 mm or RCA input. It connects to an AC power source and pairs with a single button press. The unit receives Bluetooth 1.1 signals and automatically reconnects when a paired device comes back into range. It is a receiver only and cannot transmit audio from non-Bluetooth sources.

Multipoint Pairing for Two Devices

The adapter holds simultaneous connections with two Bluetooth devices such as a smartphone and a tablet, letting you switch playback between them without repairing. Buyers who need to send audio from a wired source like a turntable or TV to wireless headphones should look elsewhere because this product does not transmit. It also will not suit users who require modern Bluetooth versions or aptX codecs.

15 Metre Range with Legacy OS Support

Wireless streaming works reliably up to 15 metres or 50 feet indoors, giving ample room for a phone to move around a living area. The supplied software supports Windows 98, 2000, XP, Pocket PC 2002, 2003 and Palm OS, so newer operating systems may not recognise the utility. Range drops significantly through walls or interference, and the Bluetooth 1.1 link limits audio bandwidth compared with current standards.

Questions about this item

What type of speaker input does the 98000000910 need to connect to my existing system?

The adapter accepts both a 3.5 mm auxiliary jack and RCA connectors, so any powered speakers, home stereo or A/V receiver with either input will work.

Will the adapter stay paired with my phone if I also keep a Bluetooth 1.1 dongle plugged into my PC?

Yes, multipoint Bluetooth lets the receiver stay paired with two sources simultaneously, so your smartphone and the older PC dongle can both remain connected and you simply switch playback between them.

How do I confirm the 98000000910 is streaming audio correctly after I press the pairing button?

After the single-button pairing completes, the adapter automatically reconnects whenever a paired device comes within the 15 metre (50 foot) range, and audio plays through the connected speakers without further steps.
