Wireless gaming mouse for competitive play

The Logitech G502 LIGHTSPEED is a wireless gaming mouse built around a HERO 25K sensor with a maximum sensitivity of 25600 DPI. It connects via a USB receiver using LIGHTSPEED technology that delivers a 1000 Hz report rate. The mouse is designed for players who want low-latency wireless performance without a cable.

Practical limits of the USB wireless link

The included receiver plugs into a USB port and requires internet access to download the G HUB software for configuration. Supported operating systems are Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.11 or later and Chrome OS. The mouse operates on an internal battery rated for up to 60 hours of continuous use and can be paired with the separate PowerPlay charging system for continuous power.

Build, weight tuning and daily use

The chassis holds six removable weights — four at 2g and two at 4g — so you can adjust mass and balance. Primary switches use a metal spring tensioning system for crisp actuation. A hyper-fast tilt wheel scrolls quickly through long documents or menus. LIGHTSYNC RGB offers 16.8 million colours. The package includes a receiver extension adapter, a charging/data cable and an accessory box.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 11-button version or a simpler model?

The 11 programmable buttons let you assign macros and shortcuts per game through Logitech G HUB software, giving you more in-game commands at your fingertips than a standard mouse.

What does the 25600 DPI figure mean in actual gameplay?

The HERO sensor delivers up to 25600 DPI across the entire range, so you can set ultra-high sensitivity for fast flicks or lower it for precise aiming without losing tracking accuracy.

How does the USB wireless connection perform compared with wired?

LIGHTSPEED wireless runs at a 1000 Hz report rate for 1 ms response, matching wired latency and used by pros in competition.
