System purpose

The Logitech G560 980-001300 is a 2.1 wired speaker system with Bluetooth connectivity designed for PC gaming. It delivers 120 W RMS total output from two 30 W satellites and a 60 W subwoofer. The system targets gamers who want positional audio and reactive lighting without a headset. It is not suited for buyers who need a compact desktop footprint or a purely stereo music setup.

Sustained output

Peak power reaches 240 W while continuous RMS power stays at 120 W across the three drivers. The subwoofer handles low frequencies at 60 W RMS so bass remains controlled during long sessions. Satellite drivers each run at 30 W RMS keeping dialogue and effects clear when the soundtrack stays loud. The amplifier topology maintains these levels without thermal throttling under typical gaming loads.

Thermals and acoustics

Maximum sound pressure level measures 97 decibel at 426 B giving headroom for intense moments without distortion. The wooden subwoofer enclosure dampens cabinet resonance so low notes stay tight at normal listening volumes. Satellite cabinets are sealed to reduce port noise when the drivers move. Power draw scales with output so idle consumption stays low while the system remains cool to the touch during everyday use.

Questions about this item

How loud does the 240 W peak system get when running all day?

The system reaches a maximum sound pressure level of 97 dB at 426 Hz, driven by 120 W RMS total power across the satellites and subwoofer.

What connections does the speaker system require to work?

It connects to a PC via USB for DTS:X Ultra surround sound and LIGHTSYNC control, and also supports Bluetooth for wireless audio from phones or tablets.

Will the DTS:X Ultra surround sound work with my older Mac?

DTS:X Ultra is not supported on Mac OS X, so the 7.1 positional audio will only function when the system is connected to a Windows PC via USB.
