Compact wireless mouse for casual play

The Logitech M172 is a lightweight optical mouse that connects through a 2.4 GHz USB receiver. It delivers 1000 dpi tracking with three buttons and a scroll wheel, making it suited for everyday computing and entry-level gaming. The pink finish adds a distinctive look without affecting performance.

Small ambidextrous shell with stowable receiver

At 97.7 by 61.5 by 35.2 mm and roughly 70.5 g with its AA battery, the body fits smaller hands and travels easily. The tiny receiver measures 18.7 by 14.4 by 6.4 mm and weighs about 2 g, so it can stay plugged into a laptop or tuck inside the mouse when moving between desks. A single AA cell lasts about 12 months under typical use.

Steps up from basic office mice

Users moving from a two-button wired mouse gain wireless freedom, a dedicated middle click and a higher 1000 dpi sensor for smoother cursor control. The upgrade makes sense for anyone who wants cable-free convenience and a bit more precision without paying for programmable buttons or adjustable DPI. It is not for buyers who need on-the-fly sensitivity switching, extra side buttons or a rechargeable battery.
