Rally Camera Extension Kit

This extension kit lets installers run the Logitech Rally Camera up to 100 metres from its control box using a single category cable. Cat5e or better cable with a diameter up to 7.4 mm is required for the link. The camera-side base and control-side box connect through that one cable for video, power and control signals. It is built for meeting rooms where the camera must sit far from the compute device.

Room-scale camera placement

AV teams who need the Rally Camera mounted on a distant wall or ceiling will use this kit to bridge the gap with a custom-length cable. The integrated screw secures the camera base while the cable routes cleanly inside the mount. Installations that must stay within standard USB cable limits without a converter should look at a different solution.

100 metre category-cable reach

The kit extends the Rally Camera connection up to 100 metres over cat5e or better cabling. Actual distance and performance depend on the specific cable used. This single figure decides whether the room layout can be served by one kit or requires an alternative approach.

Questions about this item

Will the Cat5e cable running to the camera base eventually need replacement?

The kit extends the Rally Camera up to 100 m over Cat5e or better cable with a diameter up to 7.4 mm; the cable itself is a standard category cable that can be swapped if damaged.

What limits the maximum extension distance of the Rally Camera with this kit?

The extension kit supports runs up to 100 meters from the camera side base to the control side box, and actual performance will vary with the category cable used.

Does the extension kit add noticeable heat or power draw when the camera runs all day?

The kit passes power and data over a single category cable without an external power supply, so it adds no separate heat source or power draw beyond the camera itself.
