Tap RB for Zoom Rooms — 35.8-inch conferencing

The Logitech Tap RB is a dedicated video-conferencing appliance built for Zoom Rooms deployments. It combines a 35.8-inch touch display with an integrated compute module, camera, microphones and speakers in a single wall- or TV-mountable unit. Echo cancellation and a 4K-capable graphics pipeline support clear audio and video up to 3840 x 2160 resolution. Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi and four USB 3.0 ports handle room peripherals and network connectivity.

Teams that standardise on Zoom.

Organisations that run Zoom Rooms as their primary platform will find the Tap RB purpose-built for that ecosystem, with native support for GoTo Meeting and RingCentral as additional unified-communications options. IT teams needing multi-platform flexibility beyond those three services, or rooms requiring a larger display than 35.8 inches, should evaluate alternative solutions. Buyers who want a bring-your-own-device experience rather than a fixed-room system should also look elsewhere.

Verify power, mounting and network infrastructure

Confirm that an AC outlet is available at the intended mounting location for the supplied adapter. Ensure the wall or display can support a 15.60 lb unit measuring 5.1 inches high, 35.8 inches wide and 6.5 inches deep. Check that a single Gigabit Ethernet drop reaches the install point, or that Wi-Fi coverage meets bandwidth requirements for 4K video. Validate that the room PC or BYOD laptops run Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10, macOS or iOS for full compatibility.

Questions about this item

What display connections does the Tap RB need from my meeting-room screen?

It provides one HDMI input and two HDMI outputs, so the room display connects to an HDMI output while a laptop or camera can use the HDMI input.

Will my existing 10/100 network switch handle the Gigabit Ethernet port?

Yes, the single RJ-45 port supports 10/100/1000Base-T, so it will negotiate down to 10 or 100 Mbps on older switches.

How can I confirm the device is delivering 4K video after installation?

Start a Zoom or GoTo Meeting session and verify the live video resolution shows 3840 x 2160 in the meeting statistics.
