Stainless Steel Single Shank Ball

The Loos MS20664C10 is a stainless steel single shank ball designed for lifting applications. It suits rigging professionals and marine users who need a DFARS compliant, MIL-DTL-781 qualified fitting. The 303/304 stainless construction resists corrosion in harsh outdoor environments.

5/16 Inch Rope Compatibility

This fitting accepts 5/16 inch diameter stainless steel rope for swaged termination. The 49/64 inch ball diameter and 13/16 inch shank provide secure attachment points for rated lifting loads. It reaches its limit when rope diameter or material differs from the specified 5/16 inch stainless steel requirement.

Swaged Fitting With Standard Dimensions

The swaged outside diameter measures 11/16 inch with an overall length of 1 3/16 inches and ball height of 27/64 inch. These precise dimensions ensure proper fit in compatible sockets and fairleads. The single shank style requires a swaging tool for installation, making it unsuitable for field assembly without proper equipment.

Questions about this item

Will the 5/16 in shank ball fit the existing rigging on my older wheelbarrow?

The single shank ball accepts a 5/16 in stainless steel rope and has a 13/16 in shank diameter; verify your current clevis or eye matches those dimensions before installing.

How can I confirm the swaged fitting is seated correctly after assembly?

Measure the swaged outside diameter — it should read 11/16 in — and check that the overall length is 1 3/16 in with the ball height at 27/64 in.

Does the package include the 5/16 in stainless rope or only the ball fitting?

The box contains the single shank ball fitting only; compatible 5/16 in stainless steel rope must be purchased separately.
