140mm AC Fan Kit with Controller
This LORDWORLD kit supplies a 140mm by 25mm AC fan, a matching 14cm grill, mounting screws and a variable speed controller. It is intended for DIY cabinet cooling, grow tents, incubators, laser enclosures and similar ventilation tasks. The plug-and-play design connects the controller to the fan via a 5.5 by 2.1mm DC jack and a standard wall outlet.
Sustained Operation and Speed Control
The controller adjusts output voltage from 4V to 12V DC at up to 2A, letting you tune airflow and noise for continuous duty rather than brief bursts. A start voltage of 5V ensures reliable spin-up after long idle periods. The fan runs directly from the adapter without an internal battery, so performance remains stable as long as mains power is present.
Mains-Powered Interface Limits
The adapter accepts 100 to 240V AC input, covering 110V and 220V supplies worldwide, and delivers a fixed DC range that caps maximum fan speed at 12V. Cable length is 7.5 ft, which restricts placement distance from the socket. The 5.5 by 2.1mm barrel connector is proprietary to this kit, so the fan cannot be driven from a generic PC header or PWM source.

Questions about this item
How much power does the 12 V fan draw when the speed controller runs it all day?
The fan is rated at 12 V and the controller supplies up to 2 A, so continuous draw stays within 24 W at full speed and drops lower at reduced settings.
What power source must I already have to plug in the included speed controller?
The controller accepts 100 to 240 V AC from a standard wall outlet, so no separate power supply is required.
Will the 5.5 × 2.1 mm DC jack on the controller connect to older 12 V fans I already own?
Yes, any 12 V fan with a matching 5.5 mm barrel plug can be powered directly from the controller’s output.
