2.5" IDE 44Pin to SATA Adapter
The LORDWORLD adapter converts a 2.5 inch IDE 44Pin hard drive or SSD to a SATA interface. It enables upgrading an older laptop or system that uses the legacy parallel ATA connection. The board supports IDE transfer rates of 66, 100 and 133 MB/s. No external power supply is required for operation.
Compatibility and limitations
Suits users replacing a failed 2.5 inch IDE drive with a modern SATA equivalent up to 500 GB. Works with DOS, Windows 98 through Windows 7 and Linux without drivers. Not suited for 3.5 inch desktop drives, for hot-swap requirements or for drives larger than the stated 500 GB capacity limit.
44Pin IDE interface constraint
The converter accepts only 2.5 inch drives with a 44Pin IDE connector. It provides a SATA female connector for the host motherboard. Physical dimensions are 69 mm length, 14 mm depth and 17 mm height. Verify the host system has a standard SATA port and that the drive thickness fits the 17 mm board height.

Questions about this item
What comes in the box and do I need any extra cables or power adapters?
The adapter board itself is supplied; it draws power through the 44-pin IDE connection so no separate power cable or driver disc is required.
Which drive capacities does the 44-pin IDE to SATA adapter support?
It works with any 2.5-inch IDE drive up to 500 GB, letting you fit a modern SATA SSD or HDD into the old laptop bay.
What real-world transfer speed will I see from the IDE 66/100/133 MB/s rating once the adapter is installed?
The bottleneck is the host IDE controller; a SATA SSD will run at the maximum IDE 133 MB/s mode the motherboard provides.
