Transparent 2.5 inch SATA enclosure

This LORDWORLD enclosure converts a 2.5 inch SATA hard drive or SSD into an external USB-C device. It supports drives between 7 and 9.5 mm thick and up to 6 TB capacity. The transparent PC housing lets you monitor drive activity without opening the case. Plug-and-play operation works with Windows, Mac and Linux.

Suits portable storage and data recovery

It is built for users who need a tool-free way to access laptop drives on PCs, TVs, PS4 or Xbox. The 10 minute auto-sleep function reduces power draw when the drive is idle. Builders who need 3.5 inch drive support, M.2 interfaces or RAID features should look at a different enclosure class.

USB 3.1 Gen1 5Gbps with UASP

The USB-C connection delivers up to 5 Gbps throughput and supports the UASP protocol for lower latency. This single interface specification determines the maximum transfer speed you can achieve with any installed SATA drive.

Questions about this item

Will this 5Gbps USB-C enclosure work with my older USB 3.0 ports?

Yes, the USB 3.1 Gen1 interface is backward compatible with USB 3.0 ports, though transfer speeds will be limited to the older port's maximum capability.

How do I know the drive is active and the auto-sleep feature is working?

The built-in LED indicator shows drive activity, and the enclosure will automatically enter sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity to save power.

What drive heights fit inside and do I need any tools to install one?

It accepts 2.5-inch SATA HDDs or SSDs between 7mm and 9.5mm thick, and the tool-free sliding cover requires no screws or tools for installation.
