LORDWORLD

LORDWORLD Down Angle 15A to 20A Adapter Cable 14AWG 125V White

SKU CH-WDP0-7DEBG

Right-angle adapter converts a 15 A household plug to a 20 A T-blade receptacle using 14 AWG copper cable rated at 125 V and UL certified

  • Converts 15A plug to 20A T-blade receptacle
  • Down-angle design eases tight-space connections
  • 14AWG pure-copper conductors handle 15A 125V load
  • UL and CUL certified for safety compliance
  • 100% open-short-voltage tested for reliable operation

Adapter purpose

This down-angle cable converts a standard NEMA 5-15P household outlet into a NEMA 5-20R T-blade receptacle. It lets equipment with a 20-amp plug connect to a 15-amp circuit without rewiring. The short one-foot length keeps the connection tidy behind desks or racks.

Sustained load behaviour

The 14AWG pure-copper conductors are rated for 15 amps at 125 volts, so continuous draw stays within the cable's UL-certified limit. Heavy-duty SJT insulation resists heat during prolonged use, and every unit passes 100% open, short and voltage testing before shipping.

Deciding specification

The adapter is rated for 15 amps maximum, not 20 amps, because the male plug remains a 5-15P. Buyers whose gear requires a true 20-amp supply must use a dedicated 20-amp branch circuit instead.

Questions about this item

Does the 14AWG cable run warm when carrying 15 A continuously?

The 14 AWG copper conductors are rated for 15 A at 125 V and are 100 % tested for voltage drop, so normal operation stays within safe temperature limits.

What existing outlet and device plug are needed to use this adapter?

You need a standard NEMA 5-15R household receptacle and a device fitted with a NEMA 5-20P T-blade plug.

Will the down-angle 5-15P plug clear a bulky transformer block already occupying the adjacent socket?

The right-angle (down-angle) 5-15P plug hugs the wall, leaving the neighbouring outlet free for a large transformer block.
