IoT development board with RISC-V 32-bit processor at 160MHz, 8MB flash, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5 and IEEE 802.15.4, USB-UART via CH343 and CH334, castellated module for carrier boards
This LORDWORLD board integrates the ESP32-C6-WROOM-1-N8 module with a 32-bit single-core RISC-V processor running up to 160MHz and 8MB flash storage. It targets makers and engineers building IoT edge devices that need WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5, and IEEE 802.15.4 connectivity in a compact form factor. The castellated module design also allows direct soldering onto custom carrier boards for production deployments.
The ESP32-C6 chip is designed for energy-efficient IoT applications with its RISC-V core and integrated radio subsystems. WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5, and IEEE 802.15.4 (supporting Zigbee 3.0 and Thread) share the same silicon, enabling multi-protocol connectivity without additional power-hungry components. The onboard CH343 and CH334 chips handle USB-to-UART conversion through the Type-C connector for development and debugging.
The board matches the ESP32-C6-DevKitC-1-N8 pinout, letting you reuse existing shield designs and peripheral layouts. Onboard CH343 and CH334 chips provide USB and UART interfaces over a single Type-C port, simplifying firmware flashing and serial monitoring. Castellated edges on the module enable direct surface-mount assembly onto custom PCBs when moving from prototype to production.

Connect the Type-C cable to install drivers for the onboard CH343 and CH334 chips, then select the correct COM port in your IDE; the step often missed is putting the ESP32-C6-WROOM-1-N8 module into boot mode by holding the BOOT button while pressing RESET before uploading code.
The board has no user-replaceable parts; long-term care is limited to keeping the Type-C connector and castellated module pads free of dust and corrosion, and re-flashing the 8MB Flash if firmware becomes corrupted.
The on-module RF front-end and voltage regulator reach thermal saturation first, causing the ESP32-C6-WROOM-1-N8 to throttle its RISC-V 32-bit single-core processor below 160MHz to protect the 8MB Flash and wireless circuitry.
