RP2040 microcontroller board with dual-core Cortex-M0+ at 133 MHz, 264 KB SRAM, 2 MB Flash, 26 GPIO, USB 1.1 and pre-soldered header
This MCDODO board ships with a pre-soldered header so the Raspberry Pi RP2040 microcontroller is immediately ready for breadboard or HAT work. The dual-core ARM Cortex-M0+ processor runs at up to 133 MHz with 264 KB of SRAM and 2 MB of on-board Flash memory. Drag-and-drop programming over USB 1.1 mass storage removes the need for a separate debugger.
The board exposes 26 GPIO pins that support 2 SPI, 2 I2C, 2 UART, 3 12-bit ADC channels and 16 controllable PWM outputs. Eight programmable I/O state machines add custom peripheral timing without CPU overhead. Projects needing more than 26 pins or a different pinout will require a larger module or additional circuitry.
The fitted header lets makers plug the castellated module straight into a breadboard or carrier board without soldering. On-chip accelerated floating-point libraries and a temperature sensor are available immediately. Users who need a headerless board for direct surface-mount soldering or a different pin arrangement must source a bare Pico module instead.

The RP2040 chip runs two cores at up to 133 MHz with 264 KB SRAM, giving deterministic timing for motor control, sensor polling or audio synthesis without an OS overhead.
USB 1.1 caps at 12 Mb/s, so flashing the 2 MB on-board Flash via mass-storage takes a few seconds — fine for iterative development, slow for large binary images.
The 26 multi-function GPIO pins are on 0.1 inch pitch headers for breadboards, while the castellated module edges allow direct surface-mount soldering onto a carrier board.
