Adds a colour-coded 40-pin header to the Raspberry Pi 400 for easy HAT expansion
This GPIO header adapter is built specifically for the Raspberry Pi 400 computer. It provides a convenient way to access the general-purpose input/output pins that are otherwise tucked inside the keyboard unit. Makers and students can connect external circuits without soldering directly to the board.
The adapter exposes the standard 40-pin GPIO interface found on the Pi 400. It does not add extra pins, power rails, or communication buses beyond what the computer already provides. Builders who need additional UART, SPI, or I2C channels beyond the native allocation cannot gain them through this board alone.
The header uses colour-coded groupings to help identify power, ground, and signal pins at a glance. This visual aid reduces wiring errors during prototyping. Note that expansion boards and jumper wires are not included and must be sourced separately.

This module is purpose-built for the Raspberry Pi 400, so the single version listed is the correct one.
The colour coding matches each GPIO pin to its function, making it faster to wire sensors or HATs without constantly checking a pinout diagram.
The adapter passes through the standard 40-pin GPIO bus, so any HAT or breadboard wiring that works on a regular Pi will work here, but the Pi 400’s horizontal port orientation means some tall HATs may need a right-angle header or extra clearance.
