LORDWORLD

LORDWORLD PCI-E 4.0 M.2 M-Key to Oculink SFF-8612 SFF-8611 Host Adapter for 2022 2023 ThinkBook 14+

SKU CH-KM31-732EZ

Adds an Oculink SFF-8612 port for NVMe SSD or graphics card to 2022-2023 ThinkBook 14+ via PCIe 4.0 M.2 M-key

  • Add an external GPU or SSD to a 2022-2023 ThinkBook 14+
  • PCIe 4.0 M.2 M-key to Oculink SFF-8612 host adapter
  • Transmits PCI Express 4x signals using NVMe protocol
  • Expands the laptop with one SFF-8612 interface
  • Requires optional cable and power for the connected device

Purpose-built adapter

The LORDWORLD adapter converts the internal M.2 M-key slot of a 2022 or 2023 ThinkBook 14+ into an Oculink SFF-8612 port. It carries PCI Express 4.0 x4 signals using the NVMe protocol. An optional cable and separate power supply are required to attach a device.

Ideal for ThinkBook 14+ owners

This suits users who want to add a single external graphics card or NVMe SSD to the specified laptop models. It will not function with ThinkBook 16+ units or any other notebook. Buyers needing internal drive bays or multiple expansion ports should look elsewhere.

Critical compatibility check

The adapter is electrically keyed for the 2022 and 2023 ThinkBook 14+ M.2 implementation only. Verify the exact model year and chassis size before purchase because the pin-out differs on other laptops.

Questions about this item

Does the PCI-E 4.0 M.2 to Oculink adapter generate noticeable heat or noise during all-day use?

The adapter is a passive board with no fan, so it produces no noise and minimal heat under normal PCIe 4.0 x4 loads.

What cable and power supply must I already own to connect a graphics card or SSD through the SFF-8612 port?

You need an Oculink SFF-8612 cable and a separate power source for the external device; neither is included.

Will this adapter work if I keep my 2022 ThinkBook 14+ but upgrade to a newer laptop later?

No, the adapter is designed only for 2022-2023 ThinkBook 14+ models and will not function with 16+ or other laptops.
