A 2-port KVM switch lets one keyboard, mouse and monitor control two computers at 4K60Hz while sharing USB 3.0 peripherals
This KVM switch lets one keyboard, one mouse and one HDMI monitor command two computers. It targets office workers, educators and finance professionals who need to toggle between a pair of desktops or laptops without duplicating peripherals. Plug-and-play operation works across Windows, macOS, Linux and Unix systems. No software installation is required.
The unit replaces a second keyboard, mouse and monitor that would otherwise sit on the desk. The jump is worth it when desk space is tight or when a shared printer, USB drive or external hard disk must stay accessible to both machines. A front-panel button switches the active PC instantly. EDID and HDCP 2.3 handshake support keeps the display stable during each swap.
The HDMI output delivers 4K resolution at 60 Hz for sharp text and smooth video playback. Four USB 3.0 inputs on the switch connect the two host computers and provide two extra ports for shared peripherals such as a printer or storage device. Bandwidth is sufficient for typical office documents, video conferencing and trading screens. It does not support higher refresh rates or multi-monitor setups.

Each computer needs an HDMI-compatible cable for video and a USB 3.0 cable for the keyboard and mouse link. The monitor connects to the single HDMI output on the switch.
Press the front-panel button to toggle between PC1 and PC2. A common oversight is forgetting to plug the USB 3.0 upstream cable from each computer into the switch so that keyboard, mouse and shared peripherals follow the video.
The switch handles HDCP 2.3 in hardware and is plug-and-play with no firmware updates. Only replace cables if they become damaged or if you change to a display that requires a different HDMI cable specification.
