LORDWORLD USB 3.1 Type-E to Dual USB 3.0 19/20-Pin Adapter
Converts a motherboard USB 3.1 Type-E or 19/20-pin header into two USB 3.0 19/20-pin ports at 5 Gbps with optional SATA power
- Adds two USB 3.0 headers from one Type-E or 19/20-pin input
- GL3510 chipset enables full 5 Gbps bandwidth utilisation
- Optional SATA power delivers up to 5 V 2 A for demanding devices
- Works with front panels, hubs and card readers using 19/20-pin connectors
- Backward compatible with USB 2.0 480 Mbps and USB 1.1 1.5 Mbps speeds
Front-Panel USB 3.0 Expansion
This adapter converts a single motherboard USB 3.1 Type-E or 19/20-pin header into two USB 3.0 19/20-pin sockets. It targets builders who need extra front-panel ports but have only one internal header available. The GL3510 chipset manages the split while maintaining full 5 Gbps bandwidth across both outputs. No software drivers are required for operation.
Build Integration Requirements
The board draws supplemental power from a standard SATA connector to deliver up to 5 V 2 A to connected devices. A SATA power cable is not included and must be sourced separately. Input compatibility covers Type-E, 19-pin and 20-pin headers as well as Micro-USB 3.0 ports. Output sockets accept most front-panel cables, hubs and card readers using the 19/20-pin standard.
Sustained-Load Behaviour
Under continuous transfer the GL3510 hub architecture keeps both ports active at the full 5 Gbps aggregate rate rather than throttling to a single stream. Backward compatibility with USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps and USB 1.1 at 1.5 Mbps ensures older peripherals remain functional without negotiation errors. The SATA-derived power rail remains stable during heavy multi-device workloads.

Questions about this item
Will the GL3510 chipset maintain 5Gbps throughput under continuous heavy file transfers?
The GL3510 chipset uses Multiple INs to fully utilise the 5Gbps USB 3.1 Gen1 bus, so sustained transfers stay at the rated speed.
Does the board run hot or draw extra power when both 20-pin ports are active all day?
It operates at 5V and can draw up to 2A from an optional SATA power connection, keeping temperatures low during extended use.
My motherboard only has a 19-pin USB 3.0 header — will this adapter fit without an extra bracket?
The input accepts both 19-pin and 20-pin headers, so it plugs directly into your existing header with no extra bracket needed.
