What this cable does

This is a USB-C male-to-female angled extension cable rated for 65W power delivery and 480Mbps data transfer. It carries USB 2.0 signals and charging current only, so it suits laptops, tablets, phones and cameras that need extra reach without video or Thunderbolt support.

The spec that decides fit

The connector bends 90 degrees up or down from the port, letting you plug in where straight cables hit obstructions. Because it is limited to USB 2.0 speeds and carries no video or Thunderbolt lanes, it will not drive external displays or high-speed storage.

Who should buy it and who should not

Buyers who need a slim, flexible 6cm lead to relieve strain on a tight USB-C port will find it useful. Users who require video output, Thunderbolt bandwidth or USB 3.1 data rates should look at a full-featured cable instead.

Questions about this item

What does 480 Mbps mean for everyday file transfers?

It provides USB 2.0 speeds, so moving photos or documents works fine, but large video files will take noticeably longer than on a USB 3.1 connection.

The cable is labelled USB 2.0 yet the connector is described as USB 3.1 — what does that limit?

The connector shape follows the USB 3.1 reversible design, but the wiring only carries USB 2.0 data and power, so video, audio and Thunderbolt signals are not supported.

How does the 90-degree up-down angle help in tight spaces?

The angled plug lets the cable lie flat against the device, clearing nearby obstacles and removing the need to bend or twist the cord to make the connection.
