LORDWORLD USB4 Extension Cable 13 cm

The 13 cm USB4 extension cable connects a USB4 host port to USB-C monitors or peripherals. It supports single 8K at 60 Hz, 5K at 60 Hz or 4K at 60 Hz maximum video resolution on external displays when the monitor's USB-C port supports DP Alternate Mode.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

The cable suits users who need a short, slim flat male-to-female link that carries up to 40 Gbps data and 100 W charging for compatible laptops and docking stations. Buyers whose monitor lacks DP Alternate Mode on its USB-C port or who require a longer reach will not be served by this 13 cm length.

The deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 13 cm length combined with the 40 Gbps data rate and 100 W power delivery; if your setup needs more cable length or a lower speed rating, this is not the right part.

Questions about this item

Will the 13 cm flat cable need periodic replacement due to wear at the male-to-female junction?

The 13 cm flat cable is a passive copper assembly rated for 40 Gbps and 100 W; with normal desktop use it does not have a scheduled replacement interval, but inspect the connectors if you frequently mate and unmate them.

What limit appears first when the cable runs at 40 Gbps continuously?

Sustained 40 Gbps throughput is limited by the host and device controllers; the cable itself is specified for that rate, so the first bottleneck will be the connected ports, not the 13 cm extension.

Does the cable become warm or draw extra power when driving an 8K 60 Hz display all day?

The cable supports 8K at 60 Hz and 100 W charging; it adds negligible resistance, so any warmth comes from the host or monitor, not from the 13 cm extension itself.
